As a member of Valley Educators Credit Union, you are a part-owner. We are registered as a not-for-profit organization by the State of Colorado. This allows all member-owners to have profits of the credit union returned to them in the form of dividends and better competitive rates.

Today, our field of membership includes all staff and families of SLV school districts, plus all valley students (past and present) and their families of school districts having contracted with VECU. Included also are all staff and families at Adams State University and Trinidad State Junior College, Head Starts, preschools, and several Day Care Centers. Our intent is to include anyone who is or has been associated with an educational institution in the San Luis Valley to be eligible for membership. Once a member, always a member!
At VECU, you can become a credit union member by opening a share account of $25, providing you with the personal touch of a credit union versus the larger banking community. Come into our credit union at 910 Main Street, fill out an application, and become part of our credit union family.
